Go to college directly after getting out. Being a veteran isn't good enough to get a job anymore with today's job market. I got out in august 2008 and haven't been able to find a job since then; my savings is used up and I'm having to go back in the Marine Corps to keep from winding up on the street and losing my car.How easy is it to get a job after leaving the military?
Military service can help your chances with those groups but it really depends on what job you had in the military AND they have other requirements.
Just go to their websites and they tell you what you need for each position.
No it's not. BUt it's all up to you
Easy enough if you've already gotten/are working on getting a degree. Really need the college if you're going intel., though.
good luck!

No. Even though one has been in the military, you still need a four year degree from an accredited university as well as an advanced degree from a law school or in accounting and work experience to work for the FBI. The DEA doesn't require the same as the Bureau does.
They usually require an undergraduate degree for the minimum requirement.
Most government security agencies prefer candidates with military experience. A combination of education and military combat experience improves your odds even more.
if you have a top secret security clearance you can get a good job with the FBI or some other high profile agency.. but it depends on what you did when you were in..
Being prior military does help, but you still have to pass a lot of testing to qualify.
FBI requires a 4 year college degree. Not sure about the DEA but probably the same.
Hell no! FBI requires a four year degree, mostly in bussiness or accounting. Those are the two major they accept the most.
Being a military veteran gives you an advantage when applying to the FBI and DEA but both are still VERY competive and require Bachelors degrees.
I know that the FBI recently began recruiting former military for their HRT but you still have to meet all of the usual requirements to join the FBI. They just garantee you a chance to try out for HRT after you have been in the FBI for 2 years as a Special Agent.
