So when he won the presidential nomination for the democrats, I kind of knew that he would beat McCain and I kind of hoped that he would grow up. But what's so scary about Obama is, he reminds me of how I was back in college: cocky, arrogant, self-absorbed.
And this arrogance with him isn't waning, and I think it's costing him his job. Bill Clinton had charisma; Obama has a chip on his shoulder. I understood the ********* during the campaign, when he was still just a Senator from Illinois, but I thought the presidency would settle him down. I thought he'd drop the rhetoric and speeches and get to work. But he rides around the country giving speeches with his Obama flair, yet he doesn't realize that Americans don't want a fancy talking president. Instead Americans just want someone who can lead.
Did anyone expect Obama to fail so quickly? Did you know that he wouldn't drop all his fancy speeches and that he wouldn't govern?
Question for independents or democrats: Does Obama ever talk about anything other than health care and jobs? Does he ever talk about the State department, Treasury, Veteran Affairs, FBI, CIA, judicial system...........? He's in charge of all of that, yet you wouldn't know it.Did anyone anticipate Obama's presidency falling apart this quickly?
Wow! I am impressed by the vast majority of respondents who expressed so well everything I wanted to say. As I said in an earlier posting, I did not vote for Obama but I never expected his office to so openly disregard the will of the people and as you said ignore every major issue except Health Care and his tiresome rhetoric about jobs, especially so quickly. What stuns me is that other Democrats continue to support him and follow his socialist agenda. Surely they can't can't all be egomaniacs, narcissists and wannabe rock stars and/or kings................or can they? The state of the union address told us all this. He looked like he is still a community organizer and not a leader. If you are a leader, you don't bicker and call the the Supreme Court during a State of the Union.

I never anticipated he'd try to push through all this stuff so quickly!
And I also thought that once the TOWN HALL meetings and near term elections revealed that this was NOT the MANDATE HE WANTED it to be.... he would change course.

I knew for one expected this to happen and to happen quickly . It is exactly what should happen when you have a radical community agitator an idelouge as President . Obama and the Democrats who backed him are going to get exactly what they deserve which is the boot of the American People . Im sick and tired of the obvious excuses made for this man and his administration.
It is not falling apart, it is starting to regain momentum. The people are starting to see through the outrageous paranoia and delusional claims made by the right and are abandoning them. Only the very gullible and severely biased will continue to base their political views from the fear perspective being pushed on us by a daily basis. The extreme twisting of the truth is failing.
The economy is slowly turning around, the conservatives have nothing left but to slander and lie. The country continues to grow more socially liberal each passing year and as a result, the social conservatives are losing their foothold.
Unless Obama neglects the people, and quits addressing the lies spewed out, he will be here again in 2012. Americans are tired of being manipulated by fear.
Appearances can be deceiving. Although the American people have started to awaken to the direction Obama is attempting to take, there is still much work left to be done to educate them of the dangers of this presidency. We still have 9 months left with an ultra left leaning Congress that can still do much damage, and 11 months before they are out of power. That is if the voters clean the progressives out of the House and Senate. The damage done to the economy and advances toward more government control came very quickly in just the first few months of his administration. With nearly another year of this alliance, there is no telling how much more harm may be done. Even though the super majority in the Senate has been broken, they still have a vast advantage over any opposition as well as in the House. DO NOT underestimate this man or the people backing him in his quest for more power. He and the progressive Congress are by far the worst threat to our freedoms we have ever faced. If there is insufficient turnout in November, we will not break the chain of power and that will be our undoing.
