How do i land a federal job as a polygraph analyst? I've been trying for 3 years..?

Ive been working in the psych field for the past 7 years and have an interest and some knowledge with polygraph testing.. i've applied with the CIA for the past 3 years, and went through 2 interviews in that time, though havent been past the first round of interviewing etc.. most recently applied for same position for Army (civilian).. no word yet... as well as with the FBI from months ago... how can i get them to notice me and keep their interest once they do?How do i land a federal job as a polygraph analyst? I've been trying for 3 years..?
I think you have to continue to apply for every agency in the federal government. Also, if you have any military or reservist experience, make sure they know it. It's not easy to break into some positions, as you already know, and unfortunately, you have to keep trying. Also, apply for positions that may be within certain office, that may not be directly for polygraph analyst and once you are in that position, apply for the analyst position. Once you are inside the federal government system it's a little easier. Below is a recent job announcement. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Same as anyone else; you apply have the proper and expected credentials and they will hire you if they think your the best person for the job. You probably could apply to some sort of school for FBI work and get your foot in the door as to who would be a better inside contact to know.
