FBI questions...?

I see all these really cool action movies with FBI agents and I started to wonder how do those agents get assigned to certain opperations? (In real life, I mean, since some movies reflect reality.)

Like, do they apply for a case, get accepted or rejected, or do the people higher up (whoever they are) assign them and the agents go where they are told?

And they always wear black - its like a proper uniform or something.

Plus, there are so many divisons out there and the men and women do a crazy variety of work. I don't even know what most of the divisons and jobs are called.



So, anyway, what do you think?FBI questions...?
Those people you see on TV are obviously not real, but in real life to get a position like that, you must one... hold a college degree, two start off as a street cop and excel, and three show a lot of ambition.



These cases come along, and depending on the severity of the case, depends on who gets it. If the case is a double murder of two kids, with little or no evidence, then someone with a lot of experience will be the lead investigator of that case, with probably a couple of junior investigators working underneath him/her.FBI questions...?
I think cases get assigned to agents according to their specialty and location. If it a high profine case...laction does not matter...you get the BEST no matter what part of the U.S. they are from.
it is very hard to become an FBI frist you have to be a cop and then get an acknowledgment then you have too raise up get recomendation and then once you are there you are put on a divisons and then a crew then a time set and then a few crews work on a case then go from there an when about to make a move they get the timed crew andgo at it i think i could be wrong but i think that is it
well sory people but you do not have to be a cop 1st you have to excell in school..apply for the job yes there are a bunch of things to do in the FBI all do not where black....check out the FBI.gov it will give you all the info you need
within the FBI there are many opportunities to do certain jobs that specialize in certain crimes..yes, there are different units within the FBI..example: Crimes Against Children Unit
