Instead of Preaching morality should Conservatives leaders actually follow what they tell us to do?

Seems no one brings up Senator David Vitter these days. Have Conservatives forgotten this or not care that he bought prostitutes? Apparently he is OK with them to run for office again. How about John Ensign...paying for a mistress and getting her a job with the Republican party who is now also under FBI indictment? Conservatives are once again mute, and he is running again.

When asked about these two all I get is Democrats did this and Democrats did that. Well we are not talking about Democrats are we....it is the Family Values Conservatives we are talking about.

Should Conservative leaders practice what they preach and should someone who preaches these views be held up to higher standard then those who do not preach?

Should Vitter and Ensign step aside for the good of all Conservatives? Why is it they think they cannot be replaced by someone who actually has morals and doesn't just talk about them?Instead of Preaching morality should Conservatives leaders actually follow what they tell us to do?
Rhetoric and hyperbole continue to be the tools of choice for the GOP. Facts are the LAST thing they promote. They also seem to depend on Alzheimers and short attention spans to elect the otherwise unelectable hypocrites.Instead of Preaching morality should Conservatives leaders actually follow what they tell us to do?
Prostitution be free enterprise, baby. Can't blame a brother for spreadin' the wealth can you? aint that what all you libs is about?

First off brainiac, conservatism is a fiscal concept. Yes a lot of Republicans preach the family values to get elected, but it has nothing to do with conservative policies. All politicians are scum. The power and influence draws that type of person to the job. So you shouldn't be surprised when one of them does something stupid. Get over it.
Well, see, that would subject them to actual accountability, and know that republicans are only about accountability for other people, not for themselves or their friends.
Love Heat Miser, hate republicans who are hypocrites, they need to go...just like ANY RINO, and anyone who has forgotten WHAT their true job is in washington.
One word ACORN
You know, I'm a libertarian conservative and I agree with you 100%! The republicans need to practice what they preach. If they're going to hold to family values, then they need to remain faithful to their wives. If the Republicans are going to preach smaller government and free markets, then they need not stick out their hands for government bailouts.

Now, in all fairness the same should hold true for liberal leaders. If they're going to demand taxes of other people, then they should pay their own. If they're really concerned about the ozone, then they need to trade in their jets and SUV's for battery cars like they tell us to drive. They also need to stop building 9-million dollar mansions in California, like Al Gore, while running around pretending to understand the plight of the poor. I wonder how many acres of woodland had to be sacrificed to build Gore's home?

True, there are double-standards among some conservatives, but let's be fair, the liberals have problems, too, so why can't we just admit it from both sides?
